South Asia market webinar set for Dec. 18

Washington – The Office of Textiles and Apparel (OTEXA), U.S. Department of Commerce will host a free webinar on export market opportunities in Hong Kong, Macau, South China and Singapore Thursday, Dec.18 at 1 p.m. EST.

The webinar will discuss the potential for domestic hospitality and contract producers/suppliers in these markets with a focus on small and medium sized companies, including discussions on how to begin developing market entry strategies as well as information and background on export opportunities.

The webinar is a prelude to OTEXA’s planned trade mission to those markets March 18-26, 2009. Three mission stops are planned for the trip: Hong Kong, including Macau; Hainan Island; and Singapore.

The webinar will feature information and a question-and-answer segment on current and projected market opportunities, the political, business and economic environment as it affects American hospitality and contract producers and suppliers.

The webinar will be recorded and posted on OTEXA’s website so that is can be used as a reference for those unable to participate on Dec. 18.
