Tietex reorganization nets new unit
SPARTANBURG, SC — Tietex International has formed a new unit, Tietex Interiors, part of a corporate reorganization that includes the acquisition of the Burlington House Upholstery division from Burlington Industries earlier this year.
Currently the acquired unit is known as Burlington House Upholstery by Tietex. The line that will be shown at Showtime in January will be under the new Tietex Interiors banner.
Mike Durham heads the Burlington House Upholstery business and will head the Tietex Interiors unit after the final details of the new division have been completed.
Milford Fabrics shifts facility
STRATFORD, CT — Milford Fabrics has moved its customer service and warehouse facility to the CSP Technology facility at 711 Old Thomasville Road in High Point, NC.
The sales office will remain here, with the mailing address of P.O. Box 3368, Milford, CT 06460.
"The move will give me the ability to track sales in a much more sophisticated manner and give better customer service," said Sharlene Adams, Milford president. The company also represents high-end European fabric firms Texao, Catala and Jover, all of which will be served through the North Carolina facility, Adams said.

VALDESE, NC — Zack Taylor has been promoted to vp, sales and marketing at Valdese Weavers here.
Taylor, who had been director of sales and marketing, reports to Joe Feege, executive vp.
