Betesh Group acquires Bananafish bedding supplier

New York– Apparel maker The Betesh Group has acquired Bananafish, a 10-year-oldmanufacturer of better infant bedding and nursery décor serving the specialty retail tier.
Under the Bananafish name, The Betesh Group will license upscale bedding brands while sister company Baby Boom will continue to focus on mass-driven programs such as Care Bears.
The new collection of Bananafish bedding and décor will be introduced in May at the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) show in Orlando . The company said about 20 sets of better infant bedding and coordinating room décor will be unveiled with suggested retail prices of $149.99 and up for a four-piece crib set.
An expanded line of new room décor offerings to include mobiles, lamps, diaper stackers, valances, and blankets will have an opening suggested retail price point of $39.99.
