Anchor Home Debuts Microfiber Kitchen Towels

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 2/26/2007 12:00:00 AM

Anchor Home Products added microfiber kitchen towels to its assortment. These solid-colored ribbed towels come in eight colors and carry a diamond-shaped hangtag designed by the company. It reads "Aqua Dry" and points out the advantages of microfiber — absorbs liquids three times faster than cotton; is five times its weight in water; good for polishing; streak and lint free; machine-washable; and stain resistant.

Other innovations at Anchor include the recent debut of its Home Pad line, a collection of polyester face and neoprene backed placemats. These cushioned mats absorb liquid but don't leak through. They can resist heat up to 400 degrees and are machine washable.

They come in heat-transfer printed patterns, available in the 30 designs in Anchor's archive.

They also coordinate with kitchen towels, pot holders, oven mitts and aprons.

In other market news, Anchor introduced its third generation of Better Homes and Gardens soft window and kitchen textiles collections. The two new design groupings are: Cottage, a coastal theme; and Chestnut Hill, a traditional direction. Each comprises a collection of fabrics and patterns that are layered into the many soft window treatment, table linen and kitchen textile components. Also, they are each available in three color stories.
