Capel promotes Freitag

Troy,NC-- Ninety-year-old family owned and operated rug manufacturer and importer Capel Inc. has promoted Laura Freitag to sales manager for its 17-state central region.

Freitag has been with Capel for the past seven years working as a sales representative. She has 15 years of sales experience in the home furnishings industry, and is a third-generation sales representative and is one of five family members currently selling home furnishings on the road.

Freitag's career started in 1992, after graduating from Ohio State University , when she joined her father with the sales team at Singer Furniture. In her first two years there, she grew a new territory to more than $1 million in volume.

Since joining Capel in 1999, she has increased sales in her territory by 600%.

In her new stint, her assigned territory spans the Midwest to the Atlantic coast. She retains primary selling responsibilities for major accounts in Ohio , Indiana and Kentucky in addition to her new duties.

"Laura has performed outstandingly in key selling positions with Capel and will utilize her strengths in dealer relations, product knowledge and sales training to enhance sales in these key markets," said Allen Robertson, vp, sales, to whom Freitag reports.
