Duckwall-Alco hires Hixon for store development

Abilene,Kan.– Midwestern regional discount operator Duckwall-ALCO Stores has named Phillip Hixon vp store development, reporting toRick Sturdivant, senior vp of stores.

Hixon was most recently vp of store planning and development at craft chain Michaels Stores, where he worked for 18 years.

Duckwall-ALCO president and ceo Bruce Dale said, “With our aggressive plans for growth in the coming years, I am confident Phil will make a tremendous contribution to our company.”
