Bloomington, Ind. – Textillery Weavers is expanding its eco-minded throw collection titled Bamboo, which the company created using a new light-weight sustainable bamboo yarn, and is adding to it several new machine-washable, hand-woven patterns featuring a high-low textured effect.
These introductions are poised for launch Jan. 25-29 during the New York International Gift Fair at the Javits Center.
“Bamboo yarn continues to be the perfect resource to create warm, silky and luxurious designs in colors that respond well to today's design directions,” said Judith Rose, Textillery’s head designer. “We’re finding that customers are taking the eco-friendly movement seriously. They want to know that the products they buy -- and the companies behind them -- are environmentally friendly from start to finish.”
Textillery noted that bamboo, a natural textile made from the pulp of bamboo grass, “…is fast growing, [therefore] it does not require the harsh chemicals that other materials might call for. Without these pesticides and herbicides, the plantations can be kept organic and replanted yearly, which make it a renewable resource that is able to protect the environment.”
Textillery’s full line offers more than 600 styles and 75 solid colors of hand-woven collections – many of them rayon chenille but a broad assortment in rayon straight yarns, cotton, bamboo, acrylic and linen yarns. Designs include checks/houndstooth, multi-texture, pinstripe, plaids, solids and stripe designs.
We would love your feedback!
