Metaphores' fabric debut on cutting-edge

Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 3/26/2001 12:00:00 AM

NEW YORK -New-age technology comes to the fore in Metaphores' new fabric collection, including Mohair, a luxurious blend of mohair and wool with a lofty long-haired textural hand, and Tot ou Tard, a reversible textured woven resembling embroidered waves. On one side, Tot ou Tard shows raised matte yarns with tight vertical ripples on a shimmery gold ground; on the reverse is a plane of flat ripples of stitched gold. Pampa, a woven cotton with a polyurethane finish, creates a pressed faux leather look. The collection is available in the U. S. exclusively from Donghia.
