Down Lite's new facility slated for '01
New location to house operations, manufacturing

LOVELAND, OH —
Down Lite International is nearing completion on a brand new building that will house almost all of its operations and manufacturing processes, said Bob Altbaier, senior vp. Located three miles from its current facility here, the 200,000-square-foot, air-conditioned building sits on 19 acres of land and is located in Mason, OH. It is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.
With the exception of its feather and down processing operations, all of Down Lite's manufacturing capability will be consolidated and located in the new building as well as the company's corporate and sales offices.
Altbaier said Down Lite had been renting warehouse space in order to compensate for the lack of space.
"We've outgrown the space we have," Altbaier said about the move, which will be done in stages. "Our whole operation is moving by the end of the year, and we're really excited about that."
