Hudson Industries, DuPont launch allergen barrier

Richmond,Va.–Hudson Industries, Inc. and its Science of Sleep brand has announced a new exclusive partnership in launching with the DuPont Company a membrane technology to be incorporated into luxury allergen barrier bedding products.

Called HMT (Hybrid Membrane Technology), this patented technology provides an efficient barrier to common allergens such as pet dander, pollen, and dust mites, as well as viral allergens, fungal spores, and most microscopic allergens.

Hudson Industries vp Lonnie Scheps notes that the bedding fabric is fully breathable, soft, quiet, and luxurious. The company has found that the level of protection is very durable, with tests showing more than 50 washings reduce the effectiveness by only 5%.Hudsonwill launch at the March 11-13 Housewares Show inChicago; product shipments to retailers will commence later this month.
