Unifi names top execs

Greensboro, N.C. – Polyester and nylon yarn producer Unifi has named William Jasper president and ceo; Roger Berrier evp of sales, marketing and Asian operations; and Ronald Smith vp of finance and treasurer. Jasper and Berrier were also named to the board of directors.
Jasper, vp of sales since 2006, came to Unifi when the company acquired a unit of Invista (formerly DuPont). Berrier, with Unifi since 1991, was most recently vp of commercial operations. Smith, with the company since 1994, was promoted from treasurer.
Unifi has formed a new executive committee, comprising chairman of the board Stephen Wener, Alfred Webster, Jasper, and Berrier.
