Toronto — The semiannual Toronto Fabric Fair is scheduled for Aug. 18-20 at the Paradise Convention Centre here.
Organized by 16 representatives of some 40 textile mills, the three-day event is an opportunity for retailers and manufacturers to review some of the latest offerings, some of which debuted at Showtime, the High Point fabric show held in June.
"‘Showtime North' has attracted a solid attendance over the past five years and to accommodate manufacturers unable to make the trip South, this prompted the mills to band together once again," said Fred Hanes, Canadian representative for Lady Fabrics.
Participating mills include Sunbury Textiles, Direct Textiles, Paragon Fabrics, Peach Tree Fabrics, Robert Allen@Home, Bartson Fabrics, Golding Fabrics, King Textiles, Microtex Fabrics, Portfolio Textiles, Shuford Mills, Gum Tree Fabrics, Duro Decorative Fabrics, Annabel Covington Fabric and Design, Regal Fabrics, American Century Home Fabrics, Zenda Leather, Conso Trimmings, Seven, Culp, Tietex International, Ameritex, Magnolia, Elizabeth, King America, Sunbrella, Ultrafabrics, Valdese Weavers, Dicey Fabrics, Victor Group, Craftex by Victor, Barrow Inds., Morgan Fabrics, Michael John Designs, Texel, Master Fabrics, Jennis, Lady Fabrics.
Show hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The convention center is at 7601 Jane Street, just south of Highway 7 and north of Highway 407 in the Toronto suburb of Concord.
