Karastan Marks 80th with 'Rug-ged' Contest

Area rug manufacturer Karastan is using a "Rug-ged America" photo contest to celebrate its 80th year in business.

1. In keeping with its "Make a Statement" advertising campaign, Karastan recruited six leading photography schools from around the United States to create a series of photos featuring a Karastan rug in three distinct environments:

2. A Residential/Home Environment

3. A Public Place

4. An "American" Setting

The area rug company has opened its "Rug-ged" contest website (see www.karastan.com) to voting through July 1. The winning school in each category will receive a $3,500 cash award. Karastan will also donate a rug to every participating photography school.
