New York —
Barry Leonard, ceo of Ex-Cell Home Fashions, has been elected president of the Home Fashions Product Association. He succeeds Dianne Morris who has served as president for two years.
During the HFPA annual meeting last week, four new directors were elected to the board: Steve Elias of Louisville Bedding; Carl LeGreca of Croscill; Nancy Golden of WestPoint Home; and Rich Roman of Revman.
In a brief message to the membership at the meeting, Leonard stated that one of his priorities is to expand the group's membership with specific interest in attracting global companies. "We also will resolve the market week date issue quickly," he said.
Next year for the first time, HFPA will co-sponsor the annual Fashion Institute of Technology breakfast honoring students in its home furnishings design program. The event will be held Feb. 12 at Cipriani on East 42 Street here.
