Mohawk Home names sales vp

SUGAR VALLEY, GA —
Mohawk Home recently appointed Thomas Merriman to the newly created position of vp, sales, department and specialty stores. He is based at the company's New York City offices and showroom at 295 Fifth Ave.
The position was created as part of Mohawk Home's recent restructuring of its sales division "to better service our customers," Merle Johnson, vp, said.
"He is focusing on all product categories for us," Johnson added. "We are thrilled that he's joined the Mohawk Home team. He has a tremendous amount of product knowledge and the channels of distribution."
Most recently, Merriman worked for table linens and kitchen textiles supplier Elrene Home Fashions as vp, sales.
He now reports to Jim Quist, vp, sales.
