Haywin strikes deal for juvenile license

New York — Haywin Textile Products has signed a licensing agreement with Clearwater, FL-based David & Goliath, a three-year-old apparel firm and wholesale business with sales about $50 million.

David & Goliath markets and sells pajamas, tee-shirts, accessories, books and toys in department stores, specialty shops and novelty chains. The brand was recently featured in Bloomingdale's 2003 "What's Hot for Fall" catalog.

Sheet sets will be offered in jersey knit, flannel and other woven constructions with retail price points of $19.99 to $49.99. Comforter sets will be made from alternate fabrications such as knits and denim and retail for $79.99 to $99.99. The line also will include throws, fiber reactive print beach towels, embroidered terry products, vinyl shower curtains, chenille bath rugs and bathroom accessories.
