WPS names vp of bed merchandising

NEW YORK —
Scott Maddalene has been named vice president, bed merchandising at WestPoint Stevens, effective Feb. 2. Most recently, Maddalene was managing director for WestPoint Stevens Europe in London.
In his new New York-based role, he will manage the company's department store, specialty store, warehouse club and institutional businesses, as well as direct all aspects of its independent decorative-pillow product lines.
"Mr. Maddalene's extensive background in merchandising ... will give a new strength and an added dimension to this key post," said Joan Amberg, senior vice president-bed merchandising.
