HSN Hires Former Macy's Merchant

St. Petersburg, Fla. —
Retailer HSN has named former Macy's fashion merchant Nancy Caplan svp of the soft home division, which includes home décor and design, entertaining, and lifestyle merchandise.
"The expansion of our home lifestyle business is a priority for HSN," emphasized HSN evp merchandising Lynne Ronon, saying, "Nancy is a superlative merchant who is expert at forging relationships with designers, developing product, and driving the bottom line ... a winning combination."
At Macy's, Caplan was most recently vp and gmm for the bridge and designer sportswear operations. Prior to that, she spent 11 years at Marshall Field's (acquired by Macy's as part of the May Co. deal), most recently as vp and gmm, also on the apparel side. She also served as vp and dmm product development at Saks Fifth Avenue in the mid-1990s.
