Federated one of the best spots for exec women

Cincinnati -- Federated Department Stores has been named among the top 10 in the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) "Top 30 Companies for Executive Women."

NAFE examined the number of women in each company overall, in senior management, and on the board of directors. The association also scrutinized how well represented women were among the companies’ top earners.

At Federated’s Macy's and Bloomingdale's divisions, women fill about 70% of management positions and more than half of senior management ranks. Three women serve on Federated's board of directors.

Gap and Liz Claiborne were the only other retail companies to make the Top 30 list.
