New York – Two executives have left ABC Carpet & Home: Steve Goldberg, vp merchandising, and Victor Hollingsworth, divisional merchandise manager for upholstered furniture and home textiles.
Goldberg, a veteran home furnishings retailing merchant, joined the retailer in June 2006 after a career that include senior merchandising stints at Allied Stores Corp., Bloomingdale’s, and Brylane among others.
Hollingsworth rejoined ABC Carpet & Home earlier this year. He previously was with the retailer from 1985 to 1990 as senior buyer in the textile division. He started his retailing career at Macy’s East, where he was domestics buyer and gift and accessory buyer from 1976 to 1982, and was home furnishings coordinator at Burdine’s, Miami from 1982 to 1984.
Hollingsworth also has been a design and marketing design consultant across a broad range of home furnishings products for both retailers and manufacturers.
Paulette Cole, ceo of ABC Carpet & Home told HTT, “We’re tidying up the ship and being smart and tight. We’re reinventing ourselves in these times. But we’re also interested at every level to meet fresh creative talent.”
We would love your feedback!
