WestPoint promotes two sales execs

WEST POINT, GA —
WestPoint Stevens has promoted Tim Shine, formerly vp of sales for department and specialty stores, to senior vp of the bath division. He succeeds Greg Tarver, who has resigned.
Additionally, Ray Yerg, previously vp of ValueLine, has been promoted to vp of sales for Kmart, Sears and regional mass retailers. He succeeds John Cafaro, who has left the company.
Both report to Bob Dale, president of the bed and bath division. Both appointments became effective May 16.
"Our commitment to the Internal Succession Planning Program continues to be very important to this company as a key proactive initiative," Dale said.
Shine joined WPS in 1982 and has held numerous sales and management positions, including vp of fashion brands. Yerg also joined the company in 1982 and has also held numerous positions, including vp of sales for the custom brands business unit.
