Lenzing event keys on green practices in textiles

New York – Green business practices in textiles and 2009/2010 fashion trends will be the focus for the fifth edition of the Texworld USA Botanic Symposium, sponsored by fiber producer Lenzing Innovation, and slated for July 14-16 the Javits Center here.

“The implications of the green movement in the fashion and textile industries continue to be an issue of great interest,” said spokesperson Tricia Carey of Lenzing Fibers. “Each seminar will present new, relevant eco-topics or trend forecasting to participants.”

Lenzing’s Botanic Symposium will be moderated by Karla Magruder, president of Fabrikology, a textiles consulting firm, and will include a selection of seminars providing the perspective of companies manufacturing eco-fabrics.

There will be panels, symposia and seminars on consumer data, fashion trends, eco-marketing and product innovation. Presenters include executives from Anerca, J. Ottman Consulting, Lenzing, Hyosung, Wellman, Dystar, YKK, Color Portfolio, Design Options, and Pantone Color Institute.
