Target opens first Midwestern pop-up store

-- Home Textiles Today, 5/4/2009 10:39:00 AM

Minneapolis -- This week Target will open its first pop-up store in the midwest, launching as the Bullseye Bazaar for three days in Chicago.

From May 7 to 9, Chicagoans can peruse “affordable designer fashion for spring” as well as a special mix of Target products across various product categories, including home.

"The Bullseye Bazaar reflects Target's commitment to amazing value and great design," said Michael Francis, evp and chief marketing officer.

Stalls throughout the store will be stocked with products from more than a dozen Target designers. In home, for example, the assortment will comprise merchandise from three programs: interior designer Thomas O'Brien, architect Michael Graves and textiles designer Christiane Lemieux of DwellStudio for Target.

This particular pop-up store will also offer Chicagoans an exclusive in-store look at a selection of items normally only sold on the retailer’s ecommerce site, www.Target.com. In addition, Target’s private label Archer Farms line of food and snacks will be available.

Hours for Bullseye Bazaar will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each of the three days. It will be located on the ground floor of the Tribune Tower at 445 North Michigan Avenue on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile.
