Stein Mart Promotes Moll to Chief Merchant

Jacksonville, Fla. —

William Moll, who has served as Stein Mart's gmm for ladies' ready-to-wear since 2003, has been named executive vp and chief merchandising officer.

The gmms for home and men's, Kassie Jones and John Pennell, respectively, as well as the vp of planning and allocation, Roseann McLean, will report to him.

Prior to joining Stein Mart, Moll worked for nearly 30 years in all facets of ladies' ready-to-wear, including nearly 20 years with Macy's West, and in manufacturing and consulting.

Hunt Hawkins, who has served as senior vp of human resources for Stein Mart since 1994, has been named executive vp, operations. Michael Ray, senior vp, store operations, will report to Hawkins, as will Rebecca Steele, who has been named vp, human resources. Prior to joining Stein Mart, Hawkins worked for Genesco for ten years.

Moll will join Hawkins, Ray, president and ceo Michael Fisher, and senior vp and cfo James Delfs on Stein Mart's executive management committee.
