Valdese Weavers Promotes Crisp

Joel Crisp has been promoted to vp of global operations at Valdese Weavers, and will direct the Valdese International Product (VIP) brand, in which products are designed and developed in the company's North Carolina facilities, yet sourced offshore with manufacturing partners in other countries. The VIP program also designs and develops products to be sourced by customers who utilize cut and sew capabilities abroad.
Crisp, a 30-year veteran of the textile industry, came to Valdese Weavers in May 2005 after serving as the vp of global sourcing with the Robert Allen Group.
"Joel Crisp has developed the VIP brand, conceived and executed a strategy for VIP and has grown the business exponentially," said Michael Shelton, president and ceo of Valdese Weavers.
