Lowe's Promotes Robinson

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 6/13/2005 12:00:00 AM

Lowe's has promoted Doug Robinson to the newly created position of president for Lowe's Canadian operation.

Robinson joined Lowe's in 2003 with more than 20 years of experience in the home improvement industry. Most recently, he served as vice president of special projects.

Prior to joining the company, he was president and CEO of Arxx Building Products in Ontario, and previously served as president and CEO of Beaver Lumber Company, headquartered in Toronto.

In his new post, Robinson will report to Greg Bridgeford, executive vice president of business development, during the market-entry planning phase. When stores become operational in 2007, he will report to Robert Niblock, chairman, president and CEO.
