Safavieh appoints Riley to Northwest territory manager

New York – Safavieh has appointed Hugh Riley to the newly created position of Northwest territory manager.

Based in Seattle, Riley is the company’s first locally-based sales manager. He is assigned to serve the markets of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Wyoming in the United States; and British Columbia, Manitoba, Alberta, and Saskatchewan in Canada.

For the past seven years he worked for Nourison, serving West Coast-based national accounts. Earlier, he spent 13 years of his career working in home furnishings retailing. In his new stint, Riley is responsible for working closely with retailers to develop programs for Safavieh’s soft floor coverings.

“Hugh Riley has been involved in the home furnishings business for nearly thirty years, and brings strong contacts with major clients in his territory,” said John Thompson, national sales manger.
