CORDELIA, CA —
At this week's Atlanta Gift Show, SDH Enterprises will debut its new line of bedding products woven with an Italian wood yarn.
Called Legna — a play on the Italian word for wood, "legno" — the solid-color collection is made of a new generation of cellulose yarn, designed to produce a soft, silky feel.
Produced in Italy, the new line is comparatively the same quality as SDH's 483-count cotton sateen sheets, with similar pricing, said Catherine Stemmler, sales manager. "It's a new solid-color program for us."
The initial Legna line will consist of three two-color combinations: Lemon and Lime, Cloud and Sky, and Sea and Sand. Sheets, cases and skirts will be available in solid colors, duvet covers and shams will reverse and coverlets will be framed or hemstitched. A flat queen sheet will wholesale for $96, while a full/queen duvet will wholesale for $154.
The company intends to ship the line by mid-October, and support the introduction with a nationwide ad campaign in November.
