Balta Group appoints Verstraelen cfo

Dalton, Ga. -- Balta Group, parent of area rug manufacturer Balta US, has appointed Carl Verstraelen to the post of cfo.
Verstraelen, a Belgian national, was previously cfo of Amylum Group, Lhoist Group and Agfa HealthCare.
He replaces Graham Hill, who filled the role for nearly a year on an interim assignment basis.
“With Carl Verstraelen we strengthen our leadership team with a cfo who brings extensive experience in value creation, operational excellence and international mergers and acquisitions,” said Jules Noten, ceo. “His profile matches the challenges of Balta’s development as the company looks to further consolidate its position as the clear European market leader.”
Balta is a major European manufacturer of wall-to-wall carpets. The company also produces area rugs domestically from its Balta US division here.
