Dalyn Rug hires Shapow, Vanderwerf

Dalton,Ga.— Michael Shapow and Brian Vanderwerf are in new posts at rug importer and distributor Dalyn Rug Co.

Vanderwerf has been named regional vp for sales, responsible for theMidwest. He most recently was vp of sales for Orian, a rug maker based inAnderson,S.C.Previously, he was involved in sales and sales management for rug makers Oriental Weavers USA and Beaulieu.

Shapow will work in product development for Dalyn. The industry veteran has held executive posts with such rug vendors as Whitney,Stantonand Princeton-Balta. He entered the rug business in 1977 as a buyer for retailer Huffman Koos.
