Kohl's promotes new coo

MENOMONEE FALLS, WI -Kohl's Corporation has announced that Arlene Meier has been promoted to coo from her position of executive vp and cfo.
In her new position, Meier will be responsible for the company's finance, information services, credit, e-commerce and general counsel functions. She will continue to report to ceo Larry Montgomery and will also continue to serve as a member of the board of directors.
Kevin Mansell will remain as the company's president, with direct responsibility for merchandising, marketing, merchandise planning, distribution and logistics.
"This is the final step in our senior management succession plan," said Montgomery. "We are fortunate to have someone with Arlene's leadership as our coo. Her clear understanding of our operation and business strategies makes her uniquely qualified to assume this responsibility."
