Avanti Collection 'Pops' With Color

New York —
Dark autumnal and winter shades have fallen by the wayside to make room for some “pop” bright colors at the showroom of embellished towel manufacturer Avanti Linens.
“We're trying to get the customer's attention and draw her into the department with color,” said Jeffrey Kaufman, president and chief operating officer. “This collection is ready for fall shipping but it has legs to go beyond.”
The new collection of towel ensembles is available in two color groupings: a brights-and-mocha color combination in seven styles; and a bright palette in 18 different design and embellishment styles.
Embellishments include dots, daisies, stripes, swirls, geometrics, ribbons, pompoms, butterflies and loop fringe, among others.
Inspiration for the new colorways — which include primrose, mango, lilac, key lime and ocean — came from trends in paint and apparel, Kaufman said.
“These are the colors people are painting their homes with, and they are colors that are driving the ready-to-wear business,” he explained. “We need to take a page from that book to help retailers step out. Shoppers will buy if you give them a reason.”
Retail price points are set at $20 for the bath towel, $16 for the hand and $10 for the tip/wash.
