Cobb joins Morgan Fabrics

-- Home Textiles Today, 1/5/2010 9:48:00 AM

Los Angeles β€” Long-time fabric executive Jack Cobb has been named vice president of sales for upholstery supplier Morgan Fabrics.

He reports to Morgan ceo Michael Gittleson.

Cobb began his career with Milliken and Co. in 1984, and since 2003 served as president of American Decorative Fabrics. He left ADF in October, but continued to work with the company as a consultant until last month. David Li, principal of ADF, will assume his responsibilities. Said Li: β€œHe is a true gentleman and made many, many contributions to the company, and I wish him well.”

Previously, Cobb worked for jacquard fabric producer Mastercraft Fabrics in various sales and marketing capacities, including vice president of sales for the Mastercraft Fabrics division, and as vice president of international sales.

At Morgan, Cobb will have the dual responsibility of direct sales to specific accounts while also working directly with Gittleson as national accounts and marketing manager.

Cobb will be based in Morgan's Hickory, N.C., location and will travel extensively.
