Blunck named Bluelight ceo

By Andrea Lillo -- Home Textiles Today, 11/12/2001 12:00:00 AM

Serving as temporary ceo since May, Richard Blunck has become the new ceo of Bluelight.com, the wholly owned subsidiary of Kmart, and will lead the division's eCommerce and ISP businesses. He reports to Randy Allen, Kmart's executive vp, strategic initiatives, who sits on Bluelight's board of directors.

Blunck joined Kmart in 1999 as chief technology and eBusiness officer. He was also involved with crafting Kmart's eBusiness and business-to-business strategy.

Blunck previously was at DC.com, the eBusiness unit of Deloitte Consulting America, where he supported business-to-business and business-to-consumer solution development, initiated and maintained vendor relationships with vendors in the eBusiness space, and assisted with business-to-business knowledge management. He also helped initiate Deloitte's B2B Exchanges practices.

Blunck replaces Mark Goldstein, who left in May.
