Wurl Oversees Home at Sears, Kmart

HOFFMAN ESTATES, ILL. —
Sears Holdings Corp. (SHC) has expanded exec Doug Wurl's duties in home merchandising to both Sears and Kmart.
Wurl, formerly senior vp, gmm hardlines and home at the Midwest upscale discounter ShopKo, came to SHC in October 2006 as vp, gmm home fashions for Sears. His new title is vp, gmm home fashions, SHC. His areas of responsibility for the two chains are bed and bath, home décor, housewares, RTA furniture, and mattresses. Bob St. Aubin, vp home design, will now report to Wurl.
Prior to ShopKo, Wurl had posts at Rich's Department Stores, Federated Merchandising Group, and May Department Stores.
HTT research pegged 2005 home textiles sales at the chains as $1.094 billion for Kmart and $458 million at Sears.
