Melville, NY — After 43 years, Salisbury Sales, the parent company of Linen Barn and Linens Too Wares stores, will close its remaining 15 units by the end of April, the owner confirmed today.
"We failed to meet the sales covenant of our loan with Fleet Bank," said owner Warren Kiersh, who said he currently has no future plans.
The company, which once had 39 stores, is now in the process of shuttering its 15 units, located in Vermont, Virginia, Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota, Texas, Nevada, Colorado, and California. The stores average 10,000 square feet. Salisbury Sales filed Chapter 11 in late 2001.
