Dekor files Chapter 7

Atlanta &3151; Dekor, the home decorating retailer that closed its remaining stores this past September, has filed for Chapter 7 in the Bankruptcy Court of the Northern District of Georgia.
With its do-it-for-me approach of products and services under one roof, the retailer opened four locations in metro Atlanta at the end of 2000.
Founded by former Home Depot employees Jim Inglis and Herb Biggers, Dekor encountered cash-flow problems immediately and cut its staff and a store last summer. The three remaining stores closed last September.
