Huntsville, Ala. —
Three home textiles suppliers recently became licensees of artist Jan Shade Beach — who known for her Christmas-themed whimsical and homespun artwork — for several of her latest collections.
Scottsboro, Ala.-based Maples Rugs is using on tufted rugs six Christmas images as well as three of Beach's Everyday design collections. Burbank, Calif.-based Barth & Dreyfuss is making several kitchen textiles collections that feature one of Beach's Chef images. And Ashford Court has chosen four Christmas designs to add to its line of tapestry decorative pillows.
Since 1994, Beach has been licensing her artwork to suppliers of a variety or product categories, including many home- and gift-related goods. While she is best known for her holiday images, she is currently expanding her portfolio to include more year-round and generic artwork, including florals, vintage postcards and summertime themes, she said. Her medium is acrylic on paper.
