Greensboro, NC. – Robb Tomlin has joined fabric source Global Textile Alliance in the newly created position of manager of velvet products.
A 38-year veteran of the home furnishings textile industry, Tomlin was most recently vice president of design and merchandising for Joan Fabrics, where he was responsible for design, product development and merchandising for all Joan Velvet and Mastercraft decorative fabric lines.
Before Joan Fabrics, Tomlin held similar positions with Collins & Aikman and Malden Mills.
"Robb will be responsible for design and product development of the new velvet product to be produced by GTA’s factories and its Asian partners,” said Tim Dolan, CEO and president of GTA. “His years of experience in both merchandising and product development will be invaluable to GTA’s strategic new product line and growth initiative.”
