Bardwil Launches Vera Bath Collection

Entering its second year as The Vera Co.'s table linens and kitchen textiles licensee, Bardwil Linens is now tacking on bath linens — towels, shower curtains and rugs — to its assortment for the designer brand.

The Vera bath program marks the second license for Bardwil's bath division, which is anchored by the Lenox brand.

“We're excited to be working with The Vera Co., which represents an iconic American artist, a woman who was a pioneer in our field,” said Linda Kulla, vp, Bardwil bath division. “This is a very different lifestyle brand for us.”

The Vera Co. has also recently signed on Zrike as its other bath licensee, for bath accessories. Zrike is also the brand's partner for tabletop products.

“We have a great synergy with Zrike for these programs,” Kulla added.

Bardwil's new Vera bath program launches with four collections:

Poppies, which includes a printed shower curtain featuring bright blue poppies with green leaves, a printed bath towel ensemble, a sculpted tufted rug; and poppy-shaped shower curtain hooks;Flights of Fancy, a pattern of colorful butterflies in flight interpreted on a printed shower curtain, two bath towel ensembles — a printed sheered terry that matches directly to the shower curtain, and a towel ensemble featuring embroidered butterflies, a cotton tufted rug, and butterfly-shaped hooks;Camellia, a floral in pink and white design on a printed shower curtain, two ensemble collections — a sheered printed towel grouping and an ensemble depicting an embroidered bouquet of camellias, a sculpted rug that employs a new tufting technique meant to accentuate the camellia design motif, and sculpted hooks;Candy Dish, which includes a red printed shower curtain featuring vintage candy jars with peppermint sticks, other assorted holiday candies and red ribbons, a matching printed terry bath towel ensemble with a peppermint stripe border, a round peppermint candy rug in red and white, and hooks.

Price points are set to range from $14.99 to $16.66 for a bath towel. Targeted distribution channels include specialty and department stores.
