New York —
Apparel producer London Fog Industries — which in December acquired Homestead Fabrics Ltd. and named its president David Greenstein as CEO — has now named another home fashions veteran, Len Abrams, as president of London Fog with responsibility for all sales and merchandising.
Additionally, Abrams will run the London Fog Factory Outlet Store Division. He will be based in the New York City office.
Abrams is a veteran of more than 30 years in the home fashions industry, with experience in manufacturing, product sourcing and retail management. He has been president and owner of Leonard Howard Corp., which consults with retailers and manufacturers on inventory and sales issues, and Leonard Abrams Sales Corp., which sources linens and home products in overseas markets. He had earlier been associated with Barclay Home Products.
“Len knows everyone,” said London Fog CEO David Greenstein. “His unique background in both apparel and home textiles and across all kinds of retail channels makes him an ideal addition to the company.”
In December, when London Fog acquired the $100 million Homestead business, Greenstein said he was interested in diversifying London Fog beyond its core competence in apparel. “We are building on an entrepreneurial company that can move quickly to bring new products to market across different categories,” he said.
