JCP's Erb to Retire After 36 Years

Close to 200 friends in the industry and colleagues turned out to help Katie Erb celebrate her upcoming retirement from JCPenney.

At the nearby Stonebriar Country Club, Deb Evans, vice president, private brands, was the kickoff speaker followed by Charlie Chinni, executive vice president, home, fashion jewelry and family shoes; Peter McGrath, president, JCPenney Purchasing; Steve Jebbia, vice president, bed and bath; and Steve McKeever, senior buyer.

Erb has been with Penney for 36 years, most recently as senior product development manager for home and leisure. No successor has been named at this time, Evans said, but a search is under way.
