cmi repositions sales staff

Pawtucket, RI — Braided texture rugs and accessories manufacturer cmi (Colonial Mills Inc.) has repositioned its sales staff with three promotions, two of which are newly created positions.

Mary Jane Connell has been promoted to national sales manager; Lynne Scarlata to marketing administrator; and Shirley Smith to sales administrator.

The company recently created the positions assigned to Connell and Scarlata, both of whom now report to president and ceo Donald Scarlata. Smith replaces Connell in her prior stint and now reports to Connell.

Previously an executive assistant, Scarlata's new responsibilities as marketing administrator include coordinating sales presentations and proposals, managing cmi's image audit and scheduling the media buys for the company.

In her new capacity as sales administrator, Smith is responsible for the company's SPIFF and co-op programs as well as the coordination of samples and sales literature.
