At the New York Market — Gentle touches of glitter, an upswing in color and more decorative pillows that can be used throughout the house highlight the Calvin Klein Home collection for spring 2006.
Typical Calvin Klein touches include novelty weave shams, more use of linen and layering including quilt, blankets and coverlets.
In the Khaki Collection, yarn-dyed wovens dominate the four offerings with unique decorative effects.
In solid colors, Calvin Klein Home has launched a 400-count cotton twill sheet program at $99 for the queen sheet, and has expanded its solid color duvet cover program to include the twill color palette. Details include a blanket stitch hem, a 16-inch pocket for fitted sheets with a tunneled all-around elastic.
In Gialla, silver metallic yarns are woven into the sheets, duvet cover and a decorative pillow. A pink accent stripe runs vertically down the bed in a pink, cream and custard combination. Sheeting is a warp sateen construction in custard.
Aqua and greens are mixed in Floral Grid, a pattern formed by scattered shaped flowers. Yarn-dyed percale stripes are used for the sheeting while decorative pillows are shown in slate green. The queen duvet cover is $240.
An overdye technique is used in Linen Overdye featuring a cotton/linen blend for the duvet cover in neutrals overdyed in a warm orange. The yarn-dyed sheeting mixes oranges and pinks with a dark plum. Linen is featured as the decorative pillow fabric. The queen duvet cover is $350.
In Khaki, neutrals from sable to taupe are mixed with maroon, blues, violet, raisin or orange. Engineered patterns highlight the top-of-bed designs.
