IFDA holds biennial conference

WASHINGTON -Globalization was the subject of the International Furnishings and Design Association's recent biennial conference, held here. Speakers touched upon not only how globalization impacts broad economic trends, but also how it is affecting personal perceptions about lifestyles and furnishings.
Architect and product designer Michael Graves was honored with IFDA's Trailblazer Award in acknowledgement of both his architectural work and his innovative product design, especially for the mass market.
