Green Issues Top of Mind at NeoCon East

The keynote speakers at interior design trade show NeoCon East will highlight sustainability during the event here, Oct. 29-30.
Iris Amdur, principal of Greenshape LLC, will speak on "Mission, Creativity and Value as Essential Green Building Elements" at noon on Oct. 29. She will discuss regional market transformation, provide a strategy for identifying value-added design solutions, and share case study examples of influential projects.
Stephen Apking, interior design partner at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, will address "Smart Government Interiors at noon on Oct. 30. Along with Susan Szenasy, editor-in-chief of METROPOLIS magazine, he will discuss the new headquarters design of the U.S. Census Bureau, a $331 million LEED Silver project.
A range of seminars, exhibits and special events rounds out the program as more than 250 exhibitors convene at the Baltimore Convention Center. More than 8,500 industry professionals are expected; for information visit www.neoconeast.com.
