Homefires adds Bud Edie to team, creates new position

Atlanta — Area, accent and bath rugs supplier Homefires recently added Bud Edie to its staff, naming him to the new position of vp, sales and marketing. He reports directly to Edward Chu, president.

Edie was most recently vp of sales for Montgomery, AL-based Riverdale, a decorative pillow manufacturer, where he spent the past three-plus years.

He will remain in Atlanta.

"Homefires is positioned for some really rapid growth," Edie told HTT. "It has a wonderful new design look that is doing very well in the marketplace."

Edie said his goal is to help the company attain placements in specialty chains and mid-tier department stores. The bulk of Homefires' current customers are catalogs and smaller, independent retailers.
