New York — Following Haywin Textile Products' announcement earlier this month that the company would soon manufacture and design products for the department and specialty store level, Haywin has increased the responsibilities of one its key executives, formed a new department and added two employees to its roster.
The new Product Development department will focus on the new area of business for the home textiles manufacturer, whose main business has been discounters. Working within the new area will be two new employees, Bryan Parker and Erica Gimson.
Parker will hold the position of senior product manager and will be responsible for overall product development for the company's new brand strategy and overall brand management. He is formerly of Nautica Home, where he held the same title.
Gimson will be working with Parker in the position of product manager. A former employee of Guilford Home Fashions, Gimson will be part of the product development team.
Both Gimson and Parker will be reporting to Maureen Granger, the former vp of marketing who now holds the newly created title of vp of merchandising. In addition to her marketing responsibilities, Granger will also oversee product development and the creative process for Haywin. She will report to Gregg Haft, president and ceo of the company.
"It's just the beginning of expanding our team to set us up for future growth," commented Haywin on how the new hires and department would help the company.
