Caldeira Arrives in U.S.

New York —The United Kingdom's leading decorative pillow and throw company is headed across the pond.

Caldeira Ltd. has incorporated in the United States as Caldeira USA Inc. and taken a showroom here at 261 Fifth Ave. The showroom will open in time for the next New York Home Fashions Market (formerly the New York Home Textiles Market). The market runs from Feb. 12-16.

Caldeira, which also manufactures ready-made curtains, operates factories in the U.K. and China. The company soon plans to announce hires for its U.S. staff. The New York office will target volume accounts in the U.S. and Canada. The U.S. staff of five —including four Americans — are expected to be on hand next month in Frankfurt when Caldeira shows at Heimtextil in Hall 4.0, Stand D71.
