Kingsdown Licenses de la Renta

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 3/28/2005 12:00:00 AM

Kingsdown, a manufacturer of ultra-premium sleep systems, has joined the roster of licensees of the Oscar de la Renta home furnishings collections.

Kingsdown will launch a luxury sleep system, Personal Sleep, next month under the Oscar de la Renta label. Personal Sleep features a selection process that matches an individual with the best bed for his or her body, according to the company.

Kingsdown also will use the fabrics from the Rose Tree Linens line of Oscar de la Renta bedcoverings to upholstery the box springs of bedding for a custom ensemble look.

The sleep systems will be showcased here during the New York Home Textiles Market in the dedicated Oscar de la Renta showroom of Rose Tree Linens.

The bedding will be marketed to interior designers, high-end furniture stores and the showroom network of Century Furniture, de la Renta's furniture licensee. Other licensees are Richard Ginori for tabletop, Elson & Co. for rugs and Ankasa for decorative fabrics.
